A lesson on Love

In the suffocating grip of Satan's lair..
He told me words that would cause me great despair.

He came to me by night so that I couldn't see the light.
The deceiver told me a painful lie, that I was unloved and I deserve to die.

I was trapped with cords, so tight that I couldn't reach my Lord.
To his delight his victory was in clear sight.

But with dawn I remembered my God who loved me first.
For my sake, he gave up his crown and embraced his cross.

Love he told me was not how much you get
but how much you are willing to Sacrifice.

  1. This is nice, Karen. Glad to read your inspirations in a lyrical style.
