Christianity- a difficult road

As I try to explain your teachings
they mock me and call me names

As I try to walk on the path you showed me
they ridicule my ways   

As I uphold your morals
they take offense at the things I say

As I stand up for my beliefs 
I have lost a few friends along the way

As a child who loves her Father
I wouldn't have it any other way

As you have revealed your love for me
I will love you, come what may.

A lesson on Love

In the suffocating grip of Satan's lair.. He told me words that would cause me great despair. He came to me by night so that I couldn't see the light. The deceiver told me a painful lie, that I was unloved and I deserve to die. I was trapped with cords, so tight that I couldn't reach my Lord. To his delight his victory was in clear sight. But with dawn I remembered my God who loved me first. For my sake, he gave up his crown and embraced his cross. Love he told me was not how much you get but how much you are willing to Sacrifice.
